Pilot Fly J Covid-19 Update: April 06

To our valued customers:

We are entering the 4th week of the COVID-19 crisis in North America and we continue to be amazed at how our industry has rallied and serving on the front lines of this battle.

We would like to take this opportunity to update you on Pilot Flying J and our operations.

Team Member and Guest Health and Wellbeing:
Our first priority has always been the health and wellbeing of our team members and guests.  Now more than ever we are focused on this remaining our top priority.

  • Over the next 2 weeks, your drivers will notice the addition of acrylic “sneeze guards” at our diesel desks and other payment points.  These will allow both your drivers and our team members to feel comfortable interacting with each other during this time.
  • We also encourage our team members and guests to practice good hygiene and recognize social distancing guidelines.
  • All team members are asked not to come to work if they feel ill.  We are showing our appreciation to them through a “thank you” pay premium, a free meal during every shift and an “emergency pay” plan for 14 days of paid time off for quarantine and recovery.

Fuel availability:

  • Fuel availability remains strong in the US.  We continue to work with our owned and operated terminals and our refinery partners to ensure our fuel inventories remain high, with storage inventory levels of over 500MM gallons of fuel.
  • Our fleet of 1,500 drivers and 750 trucks remain healthy and committed to moving fuel across North America.

  • All of our 780 travel center locations are open and ready to serve your drivers.
  • We continue to emphasize the importance of cleanliness and sanitizing commonly touched areas every 4 hours or as needed.

loren: Fuel Manager Services Inc. "Serving the trucking industry since 1992" I've been in and around the trucking industry for 45-years beginning in owner operator operations at Willis Shaw Express. I bought a small trucking company that I ran for 6-years then sold and went to work for J.B. Hunt Transport in 1982. After 10-years with Hunt, I started Fuel Manager Services, Inc., we are in our 29th year of serving the American trucking companies. Our simple goal was and is to bridge the gap between the trucking companies and the fuel suppliers.
