Oil prices post their biggest monthly drop since July 2016.
Crude futures started October at nearly four-year highs, bolstered by looming U.S. sanctions on Iran’s crude exports.
Oil got swept up in a market sell-off that has seen traders shed risk assets, while rising oil supplies and a weakening demand outlook knock crude futures.
