- U.S. crude stockpiles fell by 1.4 million barrels in the week through May 11, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration.
- Physical spot cargoes are trading at discount to financial crude, while S&P Global Ratings reports that production by oil majors is rising.
- Global oil demand is likely to moderate this year, the International Energy Agency said on Wednesday.
