Oil prices fell on Friday in quiet trading after three days of gains, weighed down by a weakness in equity markets.
Crude futures earlier drew support from easing trade tensions and a temporary shutdown by Saudi Arabia of a key crude oil shipping lane.
Russian energy minister Alexander Novak said on Friday the market remained volatile, but had priced in risks related to U.S. sanctions against Iran.
