Oil prices rose on Tuesday due to growing supply outages, with international benchmark Brent crude trading near a multi-year high.
Crude futures sharply pared morning gains after U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Washington will consider extending sanctions relief to some buyers of Iranian crude.
One Norwegian oilfield shut as hundreds of workers on offshore oil and gas rigs went on strike, while Libya’s national oil production fell following recent oil port closures.
