Loves Hurricane(s) Update: Sep 7

Hurricane Update | 09/07 AM

Due to the continued issues, we experienced the following outages since the last update: #290 Lufkin, TX (3 hrs), #464 Comfort, TX (4 hrs), #314 Murfreesboro, TN (1 hr).

Harvey Recovery – We continue to be vulnerable to extreme rack delays and the occasional supply outage. We’ll need more continued stability in the market to handle mid-week peak sales.

Irma Planning – We’re in full planning mode for everything in FL, GA, SC, and NC. Terminals continue to be very conservative with their volumes as they work to have product for tank hold down. Supply, while we’ve got it so far, it has been in flux throughout each day. The run on gas has continued to be very persistent and is now running north into GA. We’re monitoring these situations very closely to ensure we balance the products (diesel vs gas) as they come in.

If the situation warrants, we’ll update everyone again mid-day today.

No change to threat areas.

High Threat Areas: Texas (especially San Antonio & Corpus)

Medium Threat Areas: Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, Tennessee, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama

loren: Fuel Manager Services Inc. "Serving the trucking industry since 1992" I've been in and around the trucking industry for 45-years beginning in owner operator operations at Willis Shaw Express. I bought a small trucking company that I ran for 6-years then sold and went to work for J.B. Hunt Transport in 1982. After 10-years with Hunt, I started Fuel Manager Services, Inc., we are in our 29th year of serving the American trucking companies. Our simple goal was and is to bridge the gap between the trucking companies and the fuel suppliers.
