Hurricane Update: Aug 26

As Hurricane Harvey begins to move closer to the Texas coastline, Pilot Flying J wanted to take the opportunity to update you on our preparations for locations in the path of the storm.

The storm is currently predicted to make landfall as a Category 3 hurricane early Saturday morning. It is also predicted to stay in the area for several days, making flooding a major concern.

Pilot Flying J’s Emergency Response team has begun daily conference calls to prepare our locations and our team members for the storm. We are also moving generators into strategic locations just outside the storm’s path so that if locations lose power, we are able to deploy generators to them and restore operations as soon as possible.

The following travel center locations are in the path of the storm and are in hurricane preparation mode.

Houston, TX
Orange, TX
Beasley, TX
George West, TX
Baytown, TX
Edinburg, TX
Brookshire, TX
Tilden, TX
Channelview, TX
Mustang Ridge, TX
Pasadena, TX
Schulenburg, TX

For the most updated information on store closures during the weekend, please check our Facebook and Twitter social media outlets. If you have any specific needs that are not being addressed on these outlets, please contact your Pilot Flying J sales manager.

Our thoughts and prayers are with our guests, team members and customers who are in the path of the storm.

loren: Fuel Manager Services Inc. "Serving the trucking industry since 1992" I've been in and around the trucking industry for 45-years beginning in owner operator operations at Willis Shaw Express. I bought a small trucking company that I ran for 6-years then sold and went to work for J.B. Hunt Transport in 1982. After 10-years with Hunt, I started Fuel Manager Services, Inc., we are in our 29th year of serving the American trucking companies. Our simple goal was and is to bridge the gap between the trucking companies and the fuel suppliers.
