Flying J & Pilot COVID-19 Prevention Practices

To our valued customers,
As the COVID-19 (coronavirus) situation develops, we are closely monitoring and taking proactive measures to minimize potential risks and maintain regular business. Most importantly, our focus is the health and safety of our guests and team members.
This is a situation that we are taking seriously. We have activated a cross-functional task force to track real-time updates and implement comprehensive contingency plans, if needed. We wanted to inform you of the steps we are taking to continue providing a safe, clean and welcoming environment for our guests and team members.
The World Health Organization (WHO) and Center for Disease Control (CDC) have recommended best practices to reduce exposure, which we have communicated to our team members along with reinforcing our procedures for cleaning and sanitation. These prevention best practices include:
- Consistent cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched objects and surfaces
- Frequent hand washing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds
- Avoiding touching eyes, nose and mouth, as well as hand-shakes and high-fives
- Avoiding close contact with people who are sick
- Using gloves for cleaning and for food handling
- Providing alcohol-based hand sanitizer stations at our locations for public and team member use
- Requiring sick team members to stay home
In addition, we are well positioned to minimize any potential impacts to fuel supply, products and services within our locations and will continue to be in close communication with our partners and suppliers to proactively address any potential shortages should they arise.
Our highest priorities are the safety and health of our guests and team members, and maintaining a high level of service to you, our valued customer. As the situation evolves, we will continue to modify our plans as needed and will update you accordingly.
