But this is not an ordinary truck. This truck conveys the essence and the “spirit” of the company as exemplified by its employees, agents, and owner operators whose hard work, dedication, loyalty, integrity, and industry leading knowledge have made Bennett the company it is today.
The “Spirit of Bennett,” with its waves of blue hues, is a one-of-a-kind decorated Kenworth truck commemorating Bennett’s 40th anniversary. It is paid in full from the profits the employees, owner operators and agents helped earn and is a gift to the company’s owners and to those who have contributed to the company’s success, serving as a constant, visual reminder of the company’s first 40 years. It was unveiled at the corporate office during Bennett’s Driver Appreciation Day held September 19, 2014 in McDonough, Georgia.
David Pittman, chief operating officer and chief financial officer, said the truck was envisioned to mark this milestone and is a source of pride for all who are connected with Bennett.
“It’s a beautiful truck that everyone will be proud to see as it rolls down the road,” Pittman said. “It’s something we all share, and another way to show others who we are as a company.”
In addition to its unique design, the truck will also include the signatures of current Bennett employees, agents, and owner operators.
So keep a watchful eye for the “Spirit of Bennett” to roll through your city or town in the coming days, and know that behind the truck, you’re part of a team of dedicated employees, drivers, and agents whose spirit will drive the company’s success for the next 40 years.
