Program

Bennett’s Women in the Driver’s Seat Program recognizes the many accomplishments of the women who drive our success. It is comprised of seasoned female drivers across Bennett’s business units who flourish in their own businesses as our fleet owners, independent contractors, and or owner/operators, and have the desire to pay it forward and share their breadth of knowledge and stories.

Mission Statement

Women in the Driver’s Seat is dedicated to supporting each and every woman in transportation. We encourage our female workforce by promoting the advancement of women in a predominantly male-driven industry. We hope to enrich the quality of life for all women and fulfill our civic and social responsibility in the communities we serve.

Our Vision

We are committed to recruiting women, increasing awareness for women drivers, recognizing our female workforce, and raising money to assist our drivers and employees.

In 2023 Bennett created the WIDS Advisory Board. One of the first tasks for the board was to establish a crest to become visible to support and network with other women drivers. The board aptly adopted the name Steel Magnolias. 

These ladies and other women drivers who display this shield encourage you to reach out to them if you need support or if you are interested in becoming a Bennett Driver. All other requests or needs to this board can be made by emailing: [email protected].

With more and more women choosing a career in the transportation and logistics industry, we want to recognize those women who chose Bennett and who have made a significant impact on the industry and in their communities.

The Bennett Woman Driver of Excellence Award is presented annually to women drivers who exemplify all drivers, especially Bennett women drivers, in a positive way. The Bennett Woman Driver of Excellence can be a solo driver or a team driver from any of Bennett’s divisions. She is proud of her job and she performs her duties safely and well with her goal to provide Bennett customers with the best quality service.
