According to Brian Everett, publisher of Redefining the Road, entrepreneurship is a viable means of economic self-sufficiency, and many women are choosing an enterprise connected to transportation to be a part of their career aspirations.
Companies included on this list met certain criteria that includes: majority ownership by a woman, financial stability and growth, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. Each company was also chosen based on business success and accomplishments that foster gender diversity.
