This Christmas, Bennett, made an impact on those children in the community who, perhaps, may not otherwise experience the joys of the holiday. The company, in conjunction with its Charity Committee, joined members of the Henry County Board of Education Transportation Department to participate in the Transportation Department’s Angel Tree Program.
Through the program, several Bennett employees experienced the joy of giving by adopting an angel, a child in need. Company employees adopted a total of 27 angels! Given only the child’s name, age, sizes and a few needs, employees provided items such as clothing, personal care items, toys, games, bicycles, and more to local children in need. In addition, the company made a monetary donation to the program providing even more holiday cheer.
Members from the Transportation Department came by the corporate headquarters in McDonough, Ga., on Dec. 18 to pick up the donated items, so they could be distributed to the little “angels” throughout the community.
This is the 21st year the ladies at the Henry County Board of Education Transportation Department have coordinated the program and this is the first year Bennett has participated in the program.
