ATLANTA, Aug. 4, 2008
Specialized freight transporter Bennett Motor Express (BME) has promoted Rick Gann to Director of Operations, Government/Aerospace division and Bob Moody to Director of Freight Operations for the McDonough, Ga.-based company.
“Rick and Bob’s experience in the specialized freight industry will be a tremendous asset to us as we ramp up delivery to new markets including the aerospace industry,” said David Lowry, BME president. “The real secret to our 34 years of successful growth is our people, and these recent promotions reflect our commitment to growing our company’s leadership from within.”
In his new role, Gann will oversee transportation and logistics delivery to military, government and Department of Defense customers. Gann joined BME in August 1987, and has held numerous leadership positions throughout the company. Prior to his recent promotion, Gann served as freight operations manager with BME.
Moody replaces Gann as manager of freight operations, where he will supervise dispatchers for BME’s specialized Open-bed (drop deck and flatbed) division. Moody most recently served as BME’s customer care department manager, and has held several customer relations positions throughout the company.
