Bennett Gets Ready to Celebrate Those Behind the Wheel!

The week of September 14 -20 is National Truck Driver Appreciation Week and drivers at Bennett will celebrate all week long at various Bennett locations.

McDonough, Georgia; Chattanooga, Tennessee; Cincinnati, Ohio; Houston, Texas; Cleveland, Ohio; Louisville, Kentucky; Phoenix, Arizona; Carbon Cliff, Illinois; Elkhart, Indiana; Springfield, Ohio; Forest City, Iowa; Salina, Kansas; and Pendleton, Oregon will hold celebrations on different days throughout the week.

In addition to great food, prizes, free health screenings, games, raffles and giveaways, on September 18 at the McDonough location, Bennett’s 2015 Woman Driver of Excellence recipients will be recognized and there will be a special ceremony with officials from TCA to honor Vietnam War Veterans. And for the first time, the main activities at the McDonough location will be broadcast simultaneously to other Bennett locations.

“Our live UStream will be a first this year as every single contractor will have access, either at an appreciation event location or from the road, to see our leadership as we pay tribute to their outstanding service.,” said Kris Rzepkowski, executive director of marketing at Bennett. “We know that everyone is busy moving freight, but we just don’t want to miss the opportunity shake a driver’s hand (even if virtually) to let them know how much they mean to us.”

And this year drivers will want to shine up their trucks for the Big Rig Show & Shine Contest sponsored by Hightower Advertising Agency and Randall-Reilly planned for the McDonough and Cincinnati events. Trucks will be judged on the exterior only. The Viewer’s Choice Best Overall Winner will receive $500 and a trophy, and the second place winner will receive $250 and a trophy.
