McDonough, GA (October 26, 2024) – Bennett’s Project Fuel Tank is an annual competition that invities employees across all levels to submit ideas that address a critical business challenge, promote efficiency or enhance employee satisfaction. This year’s submissions were strong with ideas spanning various areas of the business. Each idea went through a rigorous evaluation process starting from an initial qualification stage and progressing through final presentations before the Bennett Family of Companies Executive Board.
This year, Bennett is proud to announce Mikalia Bartlett as the 2024 Project Fuel Tank Champion, awarded for her innovative approach to enhancing efficiency in the customer billing process.Her winning idea aims to increase visibility and add validation logic to billing requirements prior to order completion. This process is projected to save the company significant resources and cost savings by reducing order errors and operational redundancies.
Bartlett’s proposal addresses a long-standing need for improved accuracy in the billing cycle by preventing potential missteps early in the process. Her idea exemplifies the spirit of Bennett’s Project Fuel Tank which is designed to encourage employees to identity and solve real-world business challenges.
As the Project Fuel Tank Champion, Bartlett will receive a $7,500 prize and company-wide recognition for her forward-thinking solution which reflects Bennett’s dedication to continuous, employee-driven improvement.
This year’s runner-up was Nathanael Harrison, whose background in safety fueled his development of a comprehensive driver recognition program. This program is focused on reinforcing behaviors aligned with Bennett’s “Safety Is Priority One” commitment, aiming to reduce safety incidents and promote a culture of safety excellence. Harrison’s program has already been praised for its detailed framework and its potential to foster safer practices across Bennett’s driving community. As the second-place winner, Harrison receives $5,000.
The third-place honor went to a team comprised of Cindy Gulley and Jackie Moore from Ace Doran, a division of the Bennett Family of Companies. Their collaborative idea aims to add transparency around drivers’ financial information, addressing the challenges drivers face in managing their deductions. This proposal not only improves financial clarity for drivers but also empowers them with the tools to better manage their earnings. Gulley and Moore receive a $2,500 prize for their insightful and impactful initiative.
