‘Wreaths of Honor Ride’ Hosted by Bennett Winds Through Henry County, GA

After a safety meeting, the Henry County Police Department, Henry County GA Sheriff’s Office, McDonough, GA Police Dept. and Henry County Fire Department led the ride from their vehicles and motorcycles. The Patriot Guard Riders and Monticello GA VFW post had dozens of riders representing their organizations. As the processional wound its way through Henry County, the general public lined some of the roadways, cheering and waving their American flags. The procession could not be missed because flying overhead was a Huey helicopter flown by volunteers from the Army Aviation Heritage Foundation.

Upon arrival at Bennett’s Home Office, over 100 employees waved American flags and cheered for the procession. Bennett CEO, Marcia G. Taylor, Andersonville Cemetery Superintendent Charles Sellars, Lee Gentry, Kris Rzepkowski, and Phil Desouza all addressed the crowd at the event. In all, it was a great kick-off to two days of festivities where Bennett was able to raise enough money to purchase over 3,000 wreaths for the National Wreaths Across America day event at Andersonville National Cemetery.
